The People Who Care...Shalimar Baptist is located in north Florida on the beautiful Emerald Coast, approximately 45 miles east of Pensacola. We're a growing church and more continue joining our friendly congregation! However, our goal is not to be the biggest church, rather it is our mission to reach out to as many people as we can and share with them the truth and joy of Jesus Christ. |

We are a ministering church, both locally and worldwide. Locally, we offer many programs to our congregation, including a dynamic Youth Program, Awana, and an active Christian education system. In addition, we want to join hands with all Christian churches for the total redemption of people. We're affiliated with the Emerald Coast Fellowship of Baptist Churches, Florida Baptist Convention, and the Southern Baptist Convention, and we are involved in World Missions Enterprises in all 50 states and 106 foreign countries.

EARTHQUAKE OPPORTUNITY TO HELP In the middle of crisis God often gives us the opportunity to minister in His name. We have that opportunity now in Haiti. Two men from Emerald Coast Fellowship churches have ongoing ministries in Haiti. They are Chuck Martindale of Wright Baptist and Kenny Phillips of First Baptist Fort Walton Beach. Both of them were already scheduled to go to Haiti next week. Chuck Martindale leads Truth Evangelistic Ministries (www.truthem.org) and has many contacts and resources already in Haiti. For a number of years he has been leading groups there to minister in VBS, Pastor Conferences, evangelistic crusades and building ministries. You may contact him at truthm@cox.net or 850-582-1458. Kenny Phillips leads Give Me Shelter Ministries (www.givemeshelterministries.org) and has ministries in Mexico and Haiti. His ministry specialty is in building projects but also does many other ministry projects. He may be contacted at surfklp@gmail.com or 850-496-7398. You may make a contribution to either of these men’s ministry on their website or email or call him for instructions on where to send a check. Designate the gift for “Haiti” and it will go 100% to help the Haitian people in their time of need. |
